Responsible for evaluating players from colleges located throughout the southeast region of the country, Jim Monos enters his fifth season with the Saints as an area scout.
Prior to arriving in New Orleans in 2005, Monos worked for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2001-04 as an area scout, covering the northeast area of the country. In 2000, he was an intern for Philadelphia, serving a dual role in player personnel and media relations.
A native of Palmyra, Pa., Monos was the starting quarterback for Lebanon Valley College in 1995 before transferring to Bloomsburg University, where he graduated with a degree in journalism.
His father, Jim, has been the head coach at Lebanon Valley College since 2005. Previously, Monos, Sr. was the offensive coordinator at Bloomsburg, where he tutored G Jahri Evans, a fourth-round draft pick of the Saints in 2006 (108th overall), a unanimous NFL All-Rookie selection and a cornerstone of the club’s offensive line.
Monos is single and resides in Charleston, S.C.
