Entering his 10th season with the Saints, Director of Operations James Nagaoka oversees all aspects of the logistics and day-to-day needs of the football team. He was promoted to his current position in 2003.
Nagaoka arrived in New Orleans in 2000 and served as director of team logistics/box office manager for three seasons. Included in his many responsibilities is managing the Saints’ training camp operations, and in 2002 Nagaoka coordinated the construction of the indoor practice field, locker room, weight room and cafeteria at the Saints facility.
He joined the Saints after working for the Seattle Seahawks for 22 years, holding a wide spectrum of responsibilities during his tenure. His duties included entertainment, travel coordination, special projects and ticket sales. As ticket director, Nagaoka managed both sales and operations for 15 consecutive sold-out seasons.
A graduate of the University of Washington, Nagaoka has degrees in communications and Japanese literature.
