Dennis Lauscha
Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer

Entering his 12th season with the Saints, Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer Dennis Lauscha maintains multiple roles within the operations of the club and other holdings of Owner Tom Benson. In addition to directing all financial functions of the organization, Lauscha maintains a lead position in the negotiations with government officials and has an active role in the management of New Orleans FOX affiliate WVUE-TV, which is owned by Mr. Benson.

Recently promoted to executive vice president after having served as senior vice president since 2006, Lauscha is a key member of the negotiating team that actively pursues future Super Bowls for the City of New Orleans – including landing the 2013 Super Bowl in May. He joined the Saints as chief financial officer in 1998, has been a vice president since 2003 and Lauscha is one of the club’s representatives at the NFL Owner’s Meetings.

Lauscha was part of the Saints’ contingent that negotiated the agreement with La. Governor Bobby Jindal on a partnership that will continue to the club’s commitment to the state through 2025. The deal also creates a new Sports Development District in the city that includes the Benson family purchasing and redeveloping the New Orleans Centre and Dominion Tower. Both properties are adjacent to the Superdome and have sat dormant and in disrepair since Hurricane Katrina 2005.

After months of negotiations, the innovative agreement will dramatically modernize the Superdome, revitalize the area around the stadium and will generate revenue for the state without any new taxes for citizens.

Lauscha is the principal liaison with all vendors that service the club and also oversees several administrative and operations departments. In addition to maintaining the team’s finances, Lauscha supervises the Saints’ human resources, information technology and facilities and grounds departments. He was also a primary member of the negotiating team during the purchase of WVUE, and has since helped steward the station’s growth in the New Orleans market.

Lauscha also negotiated the deal to bring Horizon Entertainment to New Orleans. The joint venture is a television production, content development and motion graphics studio that is part of Mr. Benson’s Louisiana Media Company.

During his tenure with the club, he was also instrumental in the expansion of the team’s training facility to include a new weight room, indoor field and cafeteria and in recent years has also overseen the revamping of the employee benefits program.

Lauscha is involved with numerous league-wide initiatives, including an NFL working committee for league financial reporting and a working committee for disaster preparedness. He has also completed the NFL Managers Program at Stanford University's Executive Education Graduate School of Business.

Lauscha recently completed terms as president of the Preservation Resource Center and as president of the regional chapter of the Boy Scouts of America. He serves on the visiting committee of the Loyola University School of Business.

His dealings with the Saints, state officials and local organizations have provided an opportunity for community involvement. The professional and charitable work of the New Orleans native was recognized by New Orleans CityBusiness when Lauscha was selected as one of the 40 Most Influential Members of the Community. The honor is bestowed on those who are laying the groundwork for a better city.

After graduating from Jesuit High School, Lauscha graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in business. He has also received a Masters of Business Administration from Loyola University in New Orleans and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining the Saints, Lauscha worked as the club's auditor for four years while working for a national accounting firm.

Lauscha and his wife Jennifer, have a son, Dennis Patrick, Jr., and a daughter, Evelyn Anne.
