NFL CAREER – A hard-working and persistent athlete, Ghent joined the Saints at the outset of the 2007 preseason and earned a place on the active roster after spending nearly three full seasons on the practice squad of the Cincinnati Bengals. Seeing most of his action on special teams and as a blocking tight end, Ghent played in the final eight games of the regular season for the Saints. Originally signed out of the University of Louisville as an undrafted free agent by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004, Ghent will look to establish himself once again in the New Orleans tight end rotation in ’08.
