NFL CAREER – Entering his 11th season, the veteran safety has been a solid defender throughout his career, and a standout special teams performer. Prioleau signed with the Saints as a free agent in the offseason after spending 2008 with the Jacksonville Jaguars, leading the coverage units with 18 stops. He has appeared in 129 contests in his career, with 48 starts in stints with four previous clubs. Three of his stops have been with Saints’ defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, who values Prioleau’s versatility and leadership. His career totals include 371 tackles, 5.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, a pair of fumble recoveries and an interception. Prioleau also has recorded 130 stops on special teams.
