NFL CAREER – McKenzie has been one of the Saints’ top defenders and a leader in the secondary since arriving in an early-season trade with Green Bay in 2004. A starter in all 56 games he has played with New Orleans, he leads the club over that span with 11 interceptions while often taking on the opponent’s top wide receiver. Despite being placed on injured reserve for the final game of 2007 with a serious knee injury, McKenzie had one of his finest NFL seasons, posting 63 tackles – his highest total with the Saints and most since 2002 – three interceptions, a team-high 17 pass defenses and a forced fumble.
