NFL CAREER – Bell is a proven, hard-nosed runner who joined the Saints late last season and in brief action showed flashes of the form that carried him to 677 yards for Denver as an undrafted rookie in 2006. The 225-pound veteran appeared in four games last season after being signed in November to add depth to the backfield. In 24 career games, Bell has posted 722 yards on 176 carries with nine touchdowns and caught 22 passes for 179 yards.
