NFL CAREER – Stinchcomb anchors the right side of the offensive line, and quality play and reliability have distinguished his performances since he took over as a full-time starter at tackle in 2006. Among the club’s strongest players, Stinchcomb excels at both protecting QB Drew Brees and opening up gaps for running backs. He is also durable, having started the last 48 regular-season games. Stinchcomb, considered a priority entering the free agency period, was resigned to a five-year contract in March. Entering his seventh season, Stinchcomb was originally drafted 37th overall in the 2003 NFL Draft after a banner career at University of Georgia.

2008 – Key part of an offensive line that allowed just 13 sacks, a club-record for the fewest surrendered in a season…Opened all 16 games at right tackle, closed season with consecutive starts streak at 48. 2007 – Extended his streak of consecutive starts to 32-straight games…Opened every contest at RT…Part of an offensive line that only allowed an NFL-low 16 sacks, including a four-week stretch without surrendering one. 2006 – Had a banner season, starting all 16 games at right tackle and both postseason contests…Opener at Cleveland, Sept. 10, marked first NFL start. 2005 – Missed entire season after rupturing his right patella tendon in training camp. 2004 – Played in four games and declared inactive for other 12 contests. 2003 – Played in six games and dressed but did not play in one… Inactive for other nine games …Saw first NFL action vs. Atlanta, Nov. 16, on special teams.

COLLEGE – Four-year starter at Georgia, opening 34 of 37 games…All-Academic honors in 2001-02…One of 11 players to earn AFCA Good Works Team honors for contributions to community service…In 2002 named a Walter Camp All-American, All-SEC and one of six recipients of National Football Foundation scholarship…Became first Georgia lineman to score a TD in 17 years when he recovered a fumble in end zone at Auburn in 2002…Named All-SEC in 2001…As a sophomore, started every game at RT and was named to All-SEC second team…Started 11 of 12 games as redshirt freshman in 1999.
