NFL CAREER – Kyle comes to New Orleans after spending the past eight seasons as the long snapper for NFC South rivals Carolina Panthers. A 14-year NFL veteran and a former fourth-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in 1995, Kyle brings 178 regular-season games of experience as well as eight postseason contests, having had stints with the Seahawks, Cleveland Browns, St. Louis Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Carolina. He has proven his durability in playing in all 136 games over the last eight years with the Panthers, including eight playoff games. He has also been a solid contributor on punt coverage units during his career, posting 55 special teams tackles and two fumble recoveries.

2008 – Finished the season having completed his eighth straight year of appearing in every contest, playing in all 16 games for Carolina as the long snapper…Added three special teams tackles…also snapped in the Panthers’ NFC Divisional Playoff game. 2007 – Played in all 16 games as the long snapper and added two special teams tackles. 2006 – Played in all 16 games, handling all long-snapping duties and also recording four special teams tackles. 2005 – Played in 16 games…Snapped for all punts and placements and made three special teams stops…Played in all three of the Panthers’ postseason contests. 2004 – Played in all 16 games, snapping for all punts and placements and recorded one special teams tackle…Appeared in 100th NFL game at Kansas City, Sept. 19. 2003 – Appeared in all 16 games as the long snapper and made two tackles in punt coverage…Added one special teams tackle while playing in four postseason games, including Super Bowl XXXVIII. 2002 – Served as the long snapper on field goals and punts for all 16 games and was responsible for two tackles and a fumble recovery on special teams…Recovered a fumble in punt coverage in 13-6 victory at Cleveland, Dec. 1. 2001 – Appeared in all 16 games and handled all long-snapping duties in his first season in Carolina…Also had two special teams tackles…Recorded first career fumble recovery on a punt return that set up a Panthers touchdown vs. St. Louis, Dec. 23. 2000 – Was released at the close of training camp by Cleveland…Signed with St. Louis and was inactive for one game before being waived, Oct. 27….Claimed off waivers by San Francisco, Oct. 30 and played in two games as a reserve linebacker, posting three tackles (two solo). 1999 – Selected by Cleveland in the NFL Expansion Draft but missed the entire season as he spent the year on the physically unable to perform list with a knee injury. 1998 – Appeared in all 16 games in his final season in Seattle, playing as the long snapper on punts and made three special teams tackles. 1997 – Spent the entire season on injured reserve after suffering a shoulder injury during the preseason. 1996 – Took over as the Seahawks’ long snapper on punts and played in all 16 games, recording a career-best 17 special teams tackles (12 solo). 1995 – Played in all 16 games on special teams as a rookie, ranking third on the team with 14 tackles (eight solo) in kick coverage.

COLLEGE – A three-year letterman and a two-year starter for Arizona State, he finished his career with 204 tackles, 12 stops for a loss, four sacks and two interceptions in 31 games with 17 starts…Led the Sun Devils with 130 tackles as a senior in 1994 while starting 11 games at inside linebacker…Played in every game and started six contests at inside linebacker as a junior and ranked second on the squad with 74 tackles to go along with three sacks and an interception…Also served as the team’s deep snapper on punts and participated in the East-West Shrine Game and the Senior Bowl.

Attended McClintock (Tempe, Ariz.) HS…Majored in marketing at Arizona State…Is a part-owner of two Charlotte area restaurants as well as one in his home state of Arizona…He is also a partner in an investment company based in Charlotte.
