NFL CAREER – Signed as a free agent by the Saints during the 2007 offseason, Reis emerged as a valuable member of the special teams units, ranking fourth on the team with 13 tackles in kick coverage. A one-time training camp invitee of the Atlanta Falcons, he showed sparks for the Cologne Centurions of NFL Europa as a Saints-allocated player, earning first-team All-NFLE honors at safety in the spring of ’07.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS – Signed to Saints active roster from practice squad, 9/24/07…Signed to Saints practice squad, 9/3/07…Waived by Saints, 9/1/07…Signed by Saints as a free agent and allocated to NFL Europa, 1/9/07…Waived by Atlanta Falcons, 8/27/06…First signed by Atlanta as an undrafted free agent, 5/1/06.

2007 – Played in 14 games, primarily on special teams, and made 13 tackles in kick coverage as well as three solo stops as a reserve defensive back…Signed to active roster Sept. 24 and made his NFL debut that night against Tennessee, making one tackle on special teams…Recorded a season-best two special teams stops three times (at Seattle, Oct. 14, at Houston, Nov. 18, at Carolina, Nov. 25)…Saw his first extended action on defense at Atlanta, Dec. 10, making three solo tackles from his extra safety spot and made another stop on special teams.

COLLEGE – Two-year starter at Georgia Tech, totaling 195 tackles, 10.5 sacks, three interceptions and 10 pass defenses as he made 24 starts…Started at safety as a senior and made 84 tackles with a pair of interceptions…Named honorable mention All-Atlantic Coast Conference at outside linebacker in his junior year as he led the team with eight sacks among his 70 tackles…Three-time member of the ACC All-Academic football team (2003-04-05)…Received the Georgia Tech Academic Excellence Award following his senior season…Awarded the Captain's Captain Award and the Total Person Award at Tech's annual Yellow Jacket Celebration…Majored in Management.

PERSONAL – Member of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Super Southern 100 and Top 50 in Georgia and was a first-team AAAAA all-state selection by the AJC at Roswell (Ga.) HS…Totaled 226 tackles and 10 interceptions and also played wide receiver and caught 183 passes for 2,595 yards in his career…Earned four letters in football, four in track and three in basketball…Born Christopher Evan Reis on Sept. 19, 1983 in Canton, Ohio.
