NFL CAREER – Signed by the Saints as an unrestricted free agent from the Jacksonville Jaguars, McCray brings his pass-rushing prowess to New Orleans after spending his entire collegiate and professional career playing home games in the state of Florida. A veteran of four NFL seasons, McCray ranks seventh in Jaguars history with 22 sacks in 61 career games, having started 29 of them after entering the league as a seventh-round pick in 2004. A starter in Jacksonville over the past two seasons, he has tallied 123 career tackles, knocked down seven passes, forced seven fumbles and recovered one fumble. In addition, McCray has played in three playoff contests, making four tackles and adding a sack and forced fumble in two trips to the postseason.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS – Signed by Saints to five-year contract (UFA-JAX), 3/2/08; Selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the seventh round (249th overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft.

2007 – Saw action in 14 games along the Jacksonville defensive line, making nine starts, and recorded 24 tackles, three sacks, batted down three passes and forced a fumble…Also started both postseason games and notched four tackles, a sack and a forced fumble…Played in his 50th career game at Denver, Sept. 23, and recorded his 100th career tackle…At Kansas City, Oct. 7, started at defensive end and recorded one tackle for a loss, two quarterback pressures and one pass defense…Recorded two tackles at New Orleans, Nov. 4...Saw extensive action at Indianapolis, Dec, 2, and recorded a season-high five tackles (four solo), one for a loss and one quarterback pressure…Recorded four solo tackles and one quarterback pressure vs. Carolina, Dec. 9...Started at defensive end Dec. 16 at Pittsburgh and recorded his first sack of the season off Ben Roethlisberger in the third quarter for a nine-yard loss. Added two solo tackles and three quarterback pressures…Dec. 23 vs. Oakland, started at defensive end and recorded four solo tackles, five quarterback pressures and forced a fumble along with two sacks, one each of JaMarcus Russell and Josh McCown…Started at defensive end at Pittsburgh in an AFC Wild Card game, Jan. 5 and recorded four tackles (three solo) and one sack. Sacked Roethlisberger on the Steelers’ final offensive play which forced a fumble that was recovered by the Jaguars...Started at defensive end in the AFC Divisional Playoff at New England, 1/12. 2006 – Started a career-high 12 games and totaled career-bests with 49 tackles (42 solo), 10 sacks and two forced fumbles…Recorded at least one sack in nine of 15 games…Registered first sack of the season on Sept. 18 vs. Pittsburgh …Saw action at Indianapolis on Sept. 24 and recorded one sack…Made first start of the season at LE on Oct. 8 vs. New York Jets and tallied a team-high two sacks along with seven tackles…Started at LE at Philadelphia on Oct. 29 and registered six tackles (five solo) and collected two half sacks off Donovan McNabb…Recorded team-high six quarterback pressures in start vs. Tennessee on Nov. 5…On Nov. 12 vs. Houston, started and finished with one sack and five solo tackles…Started on Nov. 20 vs. New York Giants and sacked Eli Manning…Started at RDE on Dec. 3 at Miami and recorded three tackles, one sack and two quarterback pressures…Had six tackles (five solo), one sack, one forced fumble and two quarterback pressures on Dec. 17 at Tennessee. Sacked Titans' Vince Young and forced a fumble on the play…In season finale on Dec. 31 at Kansas City, sacked Trent Green and forced a fumble which was recovered by the Jaguars and led to a touchdown. 2005 – Played in all 16 games for the second consecutive season with one start and collected 23 tackles (20 solo) along with 5.5 sacks…Recorded two tackles and split a sack of Matt Hasselbeck vs. Seattle, Sept.11…Made his lone start at Indianapolis, Sept. 18, and had two tackles…Nov. 6 vs. Houston sacked David Carr and forced a fumble that he also recovered and added two tackles…Notched his first career two-sack game vs. Baltimore, Nov. 13, dropping Kyle Boller twice…Posted two tackles and a sack of Charlie Frye at Cleveland, Dec. 4…Made five tackles, one behind the line, at Houston, Dec. 24…Closed the regular season against Tennessee, Jan. 1, with a sack of Matt Mauck while matching his season-high of five tackles and forcing a fumble…Saw action in AFC Wild Card game at New England, Jan. 7, but held without a tackle. 2004 – Played in all 16 games during his rookie season, making seven starts and recorded 25 tackles (18 solo) and 3.5 sacks…Made first NFL start Sept. 26 at Tennessee and registered two tackles…Had three tackles and a pass defense vs. Indianapolis, Oct. 3…Notched his first career sack Oct. 10 at San Diego, tackling RB LaDainian Tomlinson behind the line on a halfback option pass attempt…Turned in his finest outing of the season at Minnesota Nov. 28 when he tallied three tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and three pass defenses…Totaled three solo tackles, a sack and a forced fumble at Green Bay, Dec. 19.

COLLEGE – Appeared in 36 games, starting 15 times including 13 games in the final two years…Recorded 107 tackles with 14.5 sacks, 20.5 stops for losses, 31 quarterback pressures, two pass deflections, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery…All-Southeastern Conference second-team selection as a senior and All-SEC second-team pick by The Sporting News as a junior…Majored in recreation program delivery.
