NFL CAREER – Signed as a free agent in the offseason, Waters arrived in New Orleans after spending two seasons with San Diego. He was originally a third-round pick of the Chargers in 2007 out of Clemson, and has appeared in seven games the last two seasons, seeing the majority of his action on special teams.

COLLEGE – Sat out almost entire senior season after injuring knee in third quarter of season opener against Florida Atlantic…Honorable mention All-ACC as junior after leading team with 109 tackles (74 solo)…Recipient of team’s Solid Rock Award in 2005, given by coaches to the outstanding linebacker…Won player of the game award three times as a junior…Redshirted in 2002…Graduated in 2006 with degree in sports management.
