Zimmer, who joined the Saints in 2006, works closely with Assistant Head Coach/Linebackers Joe Vitt in all facets of preparing the linebackers on a weekly basis.

His responsibilities include both opponent and self-scouting reports, playbook design, film breakdown and organizing meetings, as well as assisting during practicing. The linebackers unit has annually been among the Saints’ most productive defensive position groups since Zimmer’s arrival in 2006, including posting three of the top four tacklers on the club last season.

A native of Ogden, Utah, Zimmer graduated from Trinity University (Texas), where he played defensive back from 2002-05. His father, Mike Zimmer, is defensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals.
