3 - The Saints registered three sacks in the first quarter, with Mark Simoneau, Will Smith and Kendrick Clancy all dropping a Pittsburgh QB for a loss.



Key Play

The Steelers took the opening kickoff and scored on a 4-yard touchdown run by Najeh Davenport. The drive covered 80 yards in six plays over 2:58, keyed by a 55-yard pass from Ben Roethlisberger to Cedrick Wilson.

Pittsburgh extended the lead to 14-0 on a 3-yard pass from Brian St. Pierre to Santonio Holmes.  Their scoring drive lasted 3:05 and went 66 yards on six plays.

A 56-yard run by Carey Davis set up a 28-yard Jeff Reed field goal to give Pittsburgh a 17-0 advantage.

The Saints opened the second half with a 16-play march down the field that covered 72 yards in 7:54, culminating in a 1-yard TD pass from Jason Fife to Kevin Dudley.

Pittsburgh K Jeff Reed kicked a 39-yard field goal as the third quarter ended to give the Steelers a 20-7 lead.
