Saints Place DT Pressley on Injured Reserve; Sign DE Marquies Gunn

The New Orleans Saints announced Sunday they have placed defensive tackle DeMario Pressley on the reserve/injured list and signed free agent defensive end Marquies Gunn.
Pressley, a 6-3, 301-pound defensive tackle, was the first of the team’s two fifth-round selections in April’s NFL draft, taken 144th overall. He suffered a right foot fracture and will not play this season.
Gunn (6-4, 266) first entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn, signing with the New York Giants in 2007. The first-year player had stints on the practice squad of the Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the ’07 season. The Alexander City, Ala. native played in 46 games for Auburn, posting 12 sacks and being named second-team All-SEC as a junior in 2005.
